In Evidence, the act itself has disappeared, yet its presence persists through residue, imprint, and sign. The work considers the condition in which action is no longer directly visible, but continues to operate through what it leaves behind. Evidence is the afterlife of behaviour rendered legible. It is the visible remainder through which absence acquires form and consequence acquires permanence. The painting asks how the human subject is read through fragments, marks, and receipts, and how what remains can come to speak with greater authority than the moment that produced it.
